Get Rid of Blank Monitor Problems Without a Headache
If your computer doesn’t shows anything on the monitor when you have turned it on, may your monitor had a problem that can be caused by a number reasons. There are lots factor that can lead to a blank monitor such as; monitor problems, video graphic problems, motherboard, power supply and any other errors.
Monitor Has No Power
First, make sure that your computer has powered, if not check your cable connections and also the power source. Furthermore, check your monitor power, if it has no power, check and make sure your power cable has been plugged properly. This issue may caused by cable connections that make your monitor lose power.
Monitor Is Defective
If your system and monitor have power and plugged properly but you still face the no display problem, try switch to other monitor to make sure that your monitor is defective or not. If all steps above don’t take effect, perhaps your monitor is defective and need to be replaced immediately.
Video Card Problem
Once checking that the monitor is work properly, the next step is to check your video card. Turn off your computer and unplug any power cables. Open your computer and unplug the video card. Then try to clean it from any grime and dust. Then re-inserting the video card, and turn on computer to check if this solves the problem or not.
If this doesn’t take effect, try to swap the video card with another. And if you still encounter the problem, your motherboard or AGP/PCI connector may be causing the problem, and you need to replace it as soon as possible.
RAM Problem
No display issue could also be caused by the RAM especially for on board-video card. If your system RAM isn’t working or isn’t properly inserted in the slot of the motherboard, your system would not boot. Try to clean the RAM surface from dust and dirt or replace it if it’s really defective.
