Google’s Chrome Os – The best Option Netbook Users
This year, we’ll get used to netbooks running Google’s Chrome OS. How famous the OS turns out to be remains to be reviewed, still one thing’s for sure – Google seems to be taking a very serious resolution to system security.
According to Will Drewry, aside from the “trusted bootpath”, the whole of the Google Netbook products will come with the “Trusted Platform Module” (TPM) in order to make sure security in key storage and multi-factor authentication as well.
By maintaining Chrome OS open source, Drewry said it lets for continual feedback from developers about Chrome’s security design. He also called to Chrome as a “hardened” OS, pointing out the auto-updating along with its sandbox features, both of which are purposed to keep malware at bay.
Will Chrome OS live up to the hype? We'll figure out soon enough, as the first Google Netbook is hoped to come later 2010.
