Green Robot! – New Feature of Gmail That Will Improve Your Experience
Recently Google has announced the release of a new Gmail feature called Green Robot! This new offering is purposed to boost the Gmail Chat user experience, this new feature allows Gmail user know if his/her friends have chat open on Android or Gmail mode.
Green Robot uses assorted colored bubbles to indicate the status of a specific friend or contact, red for busy, yellow means idle and green means available. Whilst robot icons are used to show the users who are currently chat using Android phones. Similar to colored bubbles, red robot icon for busy, yellow for idle and green icon means available. These icons will much help Gmail users decide whether to adjust your conversation to type of device that your chat buddy is using. (e.g. if you know your chat buddy is using Android phone, her/his presence icon is robot icon, you might decide to send short chat messages that more concise. And if your chat buddy log into Gmail, her/his presence icons will return to a standard status bubbles. Furthermore, if your chat buddies perchance signed into both Android as well as Gmail chat then the standard status icons will be displayed.) It’s sounds very interesting, and I think we should try it.
