Little Known Ways to Fix Computer Will Not Boot Problems
There are numerous reasons why computer won’t boot. Common symptoms for why computer won’t start are completely dead, blank screen, blue screen,or never ending loop of restarting. At present, there are also some reasons for each symptom. Troubleshooting a computer that won’t boot up could be a tedious process, however if you handle each of those symptoms, you can rapidly rule them out and get to the real problem faster than you thought.
- Blank Screen
If the computer boot up, and hard drive churning sounds, but only shows a blank screen, you could have some problems. You need to first make sure that the monitor is turned on and the cables connected to the computer. You may even check the monitor on another computer, if necessary. If the monitor is normal, please ensure your computer is getting that initial startup display where is tests the memory and displays some BIOS information. If you can get to that screen, try tapping F8 until a boot screen that provides a choice for Safe Mode has shown. If you can do it, may your problem is a video driver issue.If you can’t get into Safe Mode, may the problem is computer’s hardware, such as memory, video card, or even motherboard. Check your hardware installation, please make sure that all of them are plugged properly. Keeps Restarting
If your computer always restarts, this may be means you either have awful memory, or corrupt hard drive or corrupt Windows Operating System files. Check your RAM, if necessary, you have to replace it with the new one. And if the error is on your Windows Operating System, you need to get into Safe Mode and run chkdsk in Windows (available in Windows 2000 or XP). Get into Windows Explorer to run chkdsk, then right-click the drive you need to scan (e.g. D:)then click on Properties. Under the Tools tab, you’ll see “Error Checking”. And the last click on the “Check Now” button. But, you need to make sure you have marked the automatically fix errors checkbox. If the result is stay none, backup your entire data and reinstall your Windows. - Completely Dead
If your computer won’t power up at all, probably the problem is on the power supply, motherboard, or even CPU. Firstly, you need to unplug any external devices such as speakers, printers, etc. Then, you need to check your power supply If to ensure you’re getting fit voltage to your motherboard. If the power supply is still good, you should try bypassing your case switch. If you’re still gaining no power, check your motherboard for obvious damage.
For hardware component errors, There isn’t much you could do to fix except replace it with the new one. However, if your problem seems to be software associated, you’re able to reinstall your operating system if you own a Windows installation disk or a recovery disk. However, the best way is to have current backups.
